Other cameras may also be usable, on request. The biggest priority for any camera is the ability to shoot a RAW or semi-RAW codec, closely followed by the ability to retain image post-processing options for the colorist (so, for example, the automatic, non-disableable internal noise reduction common on most Sony cameras is a non-starter). Beyond that, actual camera image characteristics start to matter (i.e. Arri cameras reign supreme).
