- full set audio recording (24-bit WAV) directly from your mixer
- video: 4K UHD / 16:9 AR / MP4 file
- a choice: dynamic camera movement (steadycam or handheld, rarely gimbal) OR a sinpler, tripod-mounted shot
- delivered to you via downloadable link
- optionally uploaded to the Cincinnati Live YT, ready for your EPK.
What You Bring
- a space to perform in (ideally one that’s given you permission to film)
- lights (whatever you normally use, or just house lights, doesn’t need to be perfect)
- a mixer with a free line out (1/4in, 3.5mm, RCA, or XLR all work)
- depending on the accoustics of the performance space and how they’re likely to affect a mix, we may require that you also purchase the services of a sound mixer to record stems and make an alternate mix that will sound better on video (we can recommend people, this usually runs about $40)
- film permissions for the venue, and free admission for the crew (please work that out with the manager).
- an audience (if you want one)
- everything else you need to perform (mics, speakers, modulators, pedals, music stands, etc.)
This is really just a package deal for music videos. We’ll get some B-roll of the venue, we’ll film your tracks, and then we’ll edit it all together with professional color grading to make a series of cheap, solid live-performance videos with the best sound recording that you can get outside of a studio. These are perfectly viable music videos on their own, they will look good, they will be flashy, but they won’t break your bank.
But there’s a little bit more to it than that. A lot of live performance recordings today are just someone with a DSLR standing off to the side and waving the camera around like a toddler with a rattle. The right performers aren’t featured at the right times, and key moments are missed.
The reason for this is simple: the filmmaker didn’t do their homework and learn the set properly, they don’t know the flow of the song, and as a result they have no idea where to point the camera to get the coolest frames and feature the right instruments at the right times. If you can provide us with a setlist and audio recordings of your tracks, we will put in the effort to learn your music so that your video actually looks like a legitimate music video that a director put effort into (cause we did), and not like someone glued a gopro on a groupie. When we say “cinematography matched to your music’ we mean it.
These packages are great for if you’re just starting out and want to get your name out there, or if you’ve just dropped an album and want people to have something to watch while they listen. In terms of quality and quantity, these options are without a doubt the best bang for your buck.

Payment
How It Works
Step 1: Forms
After you pay, you’ll be redirected to a form where you’ll fill out the basic information about your project. Be ready with a preferred time you’d like to shoot, a preferred location (within the Greater Cincy/NKY area) that you’d like to shoot at, and a general outline of anything you think is important. A confirmation email will be sent once the order info is complete.
Step 2: We Reach Out
We will contact you within 24 hours to set up the planning meeting. This meeting will usually be in the form of a video call.
Step 3: Preproduction Meeting
We will meet once to figure out all of the details of the shoot. Be prepared to set a time, date, and location, and answer questions about tone/style/vibe, provide contact info for anyone else you want to be involved in the video, hash out details and consider add-ons such as color grading, and sign a contract detailing the rest of the project.
Step 4: Production Agreement
During the meeting, we’ll draft up a contract outlining the rest of the project. Here’s a sample contract. This is the big jumping off point, but don’t worry: you can cancel before signing and still receive a full refund.
Step 5: Call Sheet
24 hours before the shoot, a call sheet will be sent to everyone involved with contact info, parking instructions, and a schedule. On smaller shoots this is often just a formality, on larger ones it is essential.
Step 6: Principal Photography
Plan on moving quickly, shooting efficiently, and having a ton of fun.
Step 7: Post Production and Delivery
You will know from our initial meeting (and it will be stated on the production agreement) how long post-production is likely to take. For smaller projects our turnaround is often less than a week, for mid-sized ones it’s generally not more than a month. Special requests and unforeseen circumstances may confound this.
For larger projects, you will be given a preliminary draft and the opportunity to provide feedback during the edit. Once the final cut is finished, you will be provided with a link to download it and all other relevant deliverables (raw footage), and we’ll look forward to sharing your content.
